“Big Tree”
inspiration
While admiring the Red Woods of northern California, the park ranger ask me how the tree made me feel. He was a bit surprised at my reply. Instead of “small” the usual response to his query, I said “young!”. Redwoods live up to 2,000 years. We are only a blink in time.
technique
Big Tree is a bas relief made with Apoxy sculpting clay and on canvas, painted with acrylic.
